Estates and Golf Community
The Crosby at Rancho Santa Fe is a luxurious new gated community named after
Bing Crosby. The Crosby community and Crosby Golf Club are located within the
gates of 722 acres. The community offers 443 residences including villas,
semi-custom homes and custom home sites, surrounded by an 18-hole private golf
course and club.
Located within the master plan, the Crosby Golf Club has been meticulously
designed to offer the amenities that discriminating club member’s desire. The
clubhouse will present fine dining and social activities along sweeping golf
course views. The facilities available to club members, their families and
guests will include the 18-hole golf course, a golf clubhouse, golf practice
facilities, swim/tennis clubhouse, swimming pool & spa, tennis garden with
four tennis courts, driving range and fitness center. The par-70, 6,720 yard
golf course was co-designed by Brain Curley of Schmidt-Curley Design, Inc. and
PGA Tour star Fred Couples.
Golf memberships cost $100,000 for Crosby property owners and $125,000 for
non-owner members. Monthly dues are $431. Corporate memberships are available.
Sports memberships which include use of all of the tennis, spa/fitness
swimming, social facilities and a limited number of golf rounds per year are
$25,000 with monthly dues of $150. Golf membership cap will be approximately
390.
Pricing for home sites in The Crosby range from the $600,000's to over
$1,000,000. Lot sizes range from less than one-quarter acre to nearly one and
one-half acres. The developer for The Crosby is Starwood Development.
A non-equity refundable membership deposit program will be implemented at The
Crosby National Golf Course. Under this program, members will pay a membership
deposit to join the club and will be entitled to receive 100% of the membership
deposit paid 30 years from acceptance or earlier, upon resignation and
reassurance of their membership. The club can be converted to an equity,
member- owned club upon the satisfaction of certain conditions.
Entrance
to The Crosby Estate is through the gates and across a spectacular 340-foot
bridge over the San Dieguito River. The dramatically inspiring bridge is
graciously detailed with lampposts and artistic S-shaped iron railing, while
cascading ledger stone walls, and colored and scored paving evoke the romance
of early California architecture.
Homeowners within The Crosby will enjoy the finest of private country club
living. The community maintains 24-hour gate guards, offers sweeping fairway
and territorial views, and includes several private parks, walking and hiking
paths as well as a picturesque lake park. Stucco particos with red clay tile
roofs express the early California and Rancho Santa Fe theme connecting bridges
to the community's walking trails.
The San Dieguito River valley borders the western portion of the community,
offering natural coastal sage scrub, riparian forest, oak and eucalyptus
woodlands, marshes and wetlands. The land itself is a sweeping landscape with
canyons, ridges and steep slopes. Over 190 acres of land have been designated
as open space to preserve the San Dieguito River and surrounding wetlands.
The site is approximately five miles east of Interstate 5 and five miles west
of Interstate 15. The master-planned community offers architecture; design and
landscaping that will blend with the regionally historic styles of Rancho Santa
Fe.
